November 2010.This American Robin (Turdus migratorius) had been present at Turf on the Exeter canal,Devon for nearly a week, so I decided to go for it ,hoping the crowds had died down (which they had).After about an hours wait ,it showed for a while,and then throughout the day came and went from its favorite berry laden tree,showing for only short periods.
This was the second of these rare American Thrushes I,ve seen ,the first being at Gwithian in Cornwall five years previously. Nice bird.
